Grant is home!!!!
Tonight was a night I've been looking forward to for two weeks now. Grant is home safe and healthy from the National Boy Scout Jamboree. He had a wonderful time and had so many great experiences that I know he's going to remember for years to come. It was so nice to see his smile and get a hug. He even snuggled on the couch with me for awhile.
I would like to thank everyone who supported him financially, through their prayers and with your words of support and encouragement. Without all of you this trip never would have happened. We weren't really sure how he would do with the heat and the activity level and God has blessed him again with the strength and endurance to make it through without getting sick or needing to sit out. The biggest surprise was to hear he did a 5k one morning without stopping (except to use the bathroom). This is a HUGE accomplishment and one his cardiologist would be amazed to hear. He proudly told me he wasn't the first, but he didn't finish last either. He also did a quarter mile bike-a-thon, went repelling, did some shooting and many other things.
I am going to enjoy my few days of having all my boys home. It has been a long summer for me with lots of time away from Grant. I know this is just a taste of what life will be like in the years to come as he grows up and eventually moves out, but for now I'm going to cherish my time with him. He's only here until Monday morning before heading back out for two weeks (one week at his father's and then a week at boy scout camp) before coming home for the rest of the summer.
Thank you again to everyone.

Happy for you!!
I'm so glad he's home and that he had a wonderful time! What great news!
Glad he is back safe and sound! My 2 should be home tomorrow evening, and I am eager to see them again and hear about their experiences! Our boys probably attended Mass together last Sunday!
Summer is over here.
School starts this coming week.
But, it's been a good one!
