  • Baptism Pictures Part 2

A lovely gentleman from church took pictures at the baptism last Sunday and came today with a cd for each family with lots of pictures from the big day.  It was so nice and generous of him to do this for all of us.  I love our church, it is just gorgeous.  The statues, stained glass, crucifixes and art work are supposed to draw our thoughts towards heaven and God.

  • Wow! Those pictures are amazingly beautiful. I wish all churches these days still looked like yours.

  • I am hoping and praying more than ever that Boston is a real possibility for us so we can spend some time together.  I think our kids would get along famously!!  Thank you so much for sharing your photos and describing the entire experience.  You are so blessed to have available to you a holy and obedient parish.  I am so impressed that your parish took the time to celebrate first holy Eucharist on the same day as a baptism.  Was it a whole class or is it as each child becomes of age and wisdom?  Those were precious photos!!  God bless your sweet holy family!!  xoxo

  • @SaintsFaithHopeandCharity - We were so blessed to have our priest allow another priest to come in and celebrate the baptisms in the extraordinary form.  Our priest wasn't able to be there, which was disappointing, but he is/was very busy (we have almost 3,000 families in our parish).  I love our priest though, he is very faith-filled and a great homilist.

As for the First Communion.  Typically kids make it as a class, but our parish does a great job of accommodating special requests.  The other family home schools as well and Catherine was able to make her First Communion outside of the typical class schedule because she was ready, which I really think is great.  We are very blessed to have such a wonderful parish.

I also hope and pray you guys can get Boston next, I would love to be able to get together; I agree our children would get along well and it would be so great to spend time w/ you in person.
